Our story began in 2018 at a World Cup Finals watch party hosted by Naisha’s sister in San Francisco. Fate must’ve been at play, as both Naisha and Jean-Edouard were initially reluctant to leave the comfort of their beds for a party that started at 7 a.m., but somehow were convinced to go—a decision that would change our lives forever.

In between cheering for our preferred team and lively conversations about our philanthropic projects, we immediately connected over our shared passion for soccer and making a positive impact in Haiti. From that moment, we formed a bond. As we spent more time together, our friendship gradually blossomed into a loving relationship.

Our adventures as a couple has taken us around the world— from Haiti to Ghana, Mexico to Bali. One of our most treasured experiences has been living in Puerto Rico, where we spent the last 4 years renovating a previously abandoned house in Mayagüez. This house has become a home filled with cherished memories and loving contributions from family and friends, near and far. From our mothers who’ve added their design touches, to our friends who pitched in with painting, and even Amaya, Jean-Edouard's daughter, who helped with design ideas and shaping the garden.

Along the way, we've shared countless weekends cooking Haitian dishes, exploring entrepreneurial ventures, and even rescued an orange tabby cat we named Noodle. It’s hard to believe that when we first found Noodle, he was a shy, anxious kitten—now, he’s the one calling the shots, especially with Naisha’s parents!
